Anglais: Rome is the capital of Italy and also the principal city of the Latium region. Rome, the “eternal city‿, was originally built on seven hills and is divided by the Tiber River. There is an island (Isola Tiberina) which lies in the center of Rome, between the district of Trastevere and the old city center. Rome is a monumental city with an extensive choice of cultural activities and sights from museums to parks, art galleries to unique and unforgettable archaeological sites, theatres, cinemas, restaurants, clubs and markets. At the information center of your holiday complex you can book excursions by bus or on foot. Some examples include package tours to Florence, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Tivoli. Here you will also find information on numerous events held in Rome. Only 5 minutes’ walking distance from the park you will find a train station from where you can access the center of Rome within 5 minutes. Furthermore, there is a shopping center with a large supermarket, a bank, etc., situated directly on the premises. An excellent cycling route, which runs along the left bank of the Tiber River, begins at the holiday park. From here you can cycle along the historical Ponte Milvio bridge to the Olympic Station until you find yourself in the heart of Rome, in front of the gates to Vatican City (Vaticano).
