You'll find this Residence opposite the south beach, overlooking the ocean, just 350 meters from the town center and 40 meters from the sea. It is surrounded on one side by the fortifications of the Tour Vauban and on the other side by the landing stages which jut out into the sea.
The Residence is comprised of two buildings of 2-3 stories (with lift), built around a central swimming pool. Situated at the edge of the sea, it offers a magnificent view the île d’Aix and île d’Oléron.
The varied apartments (some have a mezzanine), ranging from a studio apartment for 2/3 persons to a 3-room apartment for 7/8 persons, are all fully equipped: kitchenette (microwave and dishwasher), bathroom or shower, separate toilet, fee-paying wifi access, television (for a fee), balcony or loggia.

Fouras is situated on a peninsula. It is bordered by five beaches and a forest called "Bois Vert" ("Green Wood" in English) which covers 20% of its area.
During low tide you can take the "Pointe de la Fumée" roadway in the direction of the Île-d'Aix to Fort Enet. The pier of the island of Aix is also located in the vicinity of the commune. The south coast of the peninsula of Fouras forms the northern side of the mouth of the Charente River. A little further south lies the Île d'Oléron. Offshore, between the islands of Oleron and Aix, lies the famous Fort Boyard, which is a "must see".
