3 Bedroom Cottage on Wood Lake Haliwood Cottage, located on Wood Lake, 25 minutes from Bracebridge, is what cottaging is all about.

The cottage has three bedrooms, and bright and inviting open-concept living room, dining and kitchen areas let the family be together. Comfy couches border the living room and there is a television and DVD player. The dining area has seating for eight, and although the kitchen is small, it is well equipped.

Wake with a morning coffee or enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the new deck that runs across the front of the cottage and provides wonderful views of the lake.

The master bedroom has windows on two sides, and a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, and the third bedroom has a double bed. There is a four piece bathroom close by.

The large level lot offers plenty of room to play. There is a fire pit for toasting marshmallows in the evening, and a picnic table for dining al fresco.

At the waterfront, there is a small sandy area as well as steps and a dock ladder for easy access into the water. The lake bottom is sandy and pebbly so it is advisable to wear water shoes. The large square dock will quickly become a favourite spot to soak up the sun's rays, cool off with a swim or catch those cooling lake breezes. A paddle boat and canoe are provided for exploring the lake.

If you decide to spend a day away from this relaxing spot, Bracebridge is about twenty five minutes away. Here there are good restaurants, interesting shopping, Santa's Village, a movie theatre, live theatre at Rene M. Caisse Theatre, and craft shows. There are several golf courses in the area. Gravenhurst and Huntsville (near Algonquin Provincial Park) are a short drive away.
