Cottage By The Sea with 3 Cottages in Waitara, New Zealand Situated on the Tasman Sea, our spectacular panoramic views are ever-changing. We are just off Highway 3, halfway between Auckland and Wellington - very convenient for travelers. Watch the sunrise from your bed? It's true! Even though we are on the west coast, we face north. Often the morning sky is lit up in all shades of pink reflecting on the deep blue waters. A full moon can be just as beautiful.

The most often used word to describe our place, usually uttered when people arrive, is Wow! Many say that they wish they had planned a longer stay with us after enjoying our lovely property. Often people tell us that our website doesn't do us justice. Well, some things you just have to see to appreciate.

All our accommodation have lovely sea views. Access to the beach is down 100 steps through the bush and past lots of little hidden treasures. The black sand beach is usually secluded, has safe swimming and is great for surf casting. The reef is exposed at low tide and is fun for exploring. Warm tide pools are plentiful. Seacliff Villa has a king size bed. All other units have queen size beds.

All linen is provided. Kitchens have tea/coffee facilities, fridges, microwaves and hobs. All equipment and utensils are provided including tools for the common BBQ. A small oven is available on request. Bathrooms have showers but no bathtubs or spas. Each unit has a private garden area with lawn furniture and tables. DVDs and CDs can be played through the TV. We have a variety of movies for you to borrow.

We do not have Sky or Internet access in the units but can offer guests the use of our computer to check email. Cell phone access for Telecom is good, but Vodaphone reception is not consistent. You will have your own parking space right next to your unit.
