Castello is one of the last real Venetian area, very strategic and central quarter rich of shops, restaurants and attractions. You can easily get to St. Mark Square walking along the beautiful promenade in front of the Lagoon and of the Island of St. Giorgio: Riva degli Schiavoni but in the same time you are out of the busy and noisy touristy Venice. Very closed to the famous Via Garibaldi, this location is the ideal to make you feel a real Venetian citizen. Via Garibaldi can claim to be the heart venetian life, unlike the area around St. Mark’s Square it has not yet been invaded by mass tourists. The many coffee houses and famous restaurants of the area are crowded mainly with venetians who come here to escape the hustle and bustle of the plaza, after all it is only ten minutes away.

Nearby one can see the “Padiglioni” of the International Biennal Exhibition of Modern Art, a must for art lovers.
