Enjoy a View of Matese Mountains or Fertile Valley of River Volturno An enchanting Bed&Breakfast in the historical house delPrete di Belmonte in Venafro, the best place for tourism in Molise. The Palace of the delPrete di Belmonte Bed&Breakfast rises in the middle of the old center of the city of Venafro Next to it, on the Piazza del Cristo, stands the church of the same name. The palace, built on one of the cardinal roads of the Roman town, was restructured in neoclassic style around 1860.

It has an enchanting internal garden, in the middle of which stand two old palm trees. The upper floor of the palace is furnished with period furniture and the rooms are available for guests. The ground floor, once used to keep carriages, has been transformed into a beautiful hall available for small conferences, private meetings and other social events. On the main floor, guests may enjoy breakfast in an elegant drawing room decorated with frescoed ceilings depicting views of the town and the delPrete country estates.

Our guests are welcomed as good friends of the family and if they wish may participate in the family life of the household. Of the four bedrooms available to guests all have double beds with private bathroom and are complete with antique furniture. From the windows you can enjoy a view of the Matese mountains or the fertile valley of the river Volturno.

Guests bedrooms are the fireplace room, the chestnut wood room, the blue room, the green room, Suite, l'apartament. All the bedrooms are very comfortable and with private bathroom. The family palace was constructed around fifteenth century buildings whose essential character has been maintained even after restoration works carried out in 1860. The frescoed salons and the garden with its ancient palms and old-fashioned roses are at the disposal of the guests.

Tours can be organised by car on request and in addition to Molise tourist intineries, include the Amalfitana coast, the ruins of Pompei, the city of Naples and many other options The family farm produces, among other things, an excellent wine and pure olive oil. It's possible to play a beatiful piano, and during the summer free entrance in a swimming pool (2 Km distance).

enafro a small, quaint city in the province of Isernia, lies in Molise Region of Italy (one hour drive from Naples and two hours from Roma). It is located in the lovely valley of the Mount Santa Croce. In Venafro, one can find ruins of a Roman acqueduct, theatre and anphitheatre. Also of interest is the Cathedral wich, built in the late-Romanesque style, has a portale flanked by two marble lions and three apses erected using materials from Roman tombs.

The lombard castle, built in the 15th century, is also a worthy sight. Recently, the interior of the castle has been restored, bringing to light beautiful and unique frescoes of horses that are not only life-size but also in relief. The archeological museum in the convent of St.Chiara exihbits Roman ruins, including a precious collection donated by the delPrete family.
