Hudson Valley Cabin : Romantic and Secluded Log Cabin Romantic and secluded log cabin designed for only 2 sits alone on the edge of our private 3.5 acre lake on an 85 acre estate. Total privacy is assured as your closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away. The cabin has a lovely stone fireplace (wood provided) and a picture window overlooking the lake and the covered front porch. The porch is furnished with redwood furniture and comfortable hanging chairs.

There is a very comfortable queen sized sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen in addition to an outdoor gas grill and a charcoal BBQ. We offer a fresh herb garden (in season). There is a rowboat for your use as well as inflatable boats,. For lounging you will have a choice of hammocks, hanging chairs scattered around the cabin and benches throughout the property. Dining can be done on your choice of 2 outdoor picnic tables or inside the cabin.

There are marked and mowed hiking trails and much natural terrain for you to explore. Many honeymoons, birthdays, and anniversaries have been celebrated here - it's a very romantic spot! We are located 2 hours north of mid-town NYC in northern Dutchess County - about 12-15 miles from the historic towns of Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, Millbrook, and Red Hook. There are many fine restaurants in the area as well as antique shops, wineries, and beautiful scenery. We are close to the Olde Rhinebeck Aerodrome, the Culinary Institute, and the Omega Institute.
