La Grange: A Recently Restored Cottage in Black Perigord Trusting in the intuition and good taste of our distant ancestors who chose the Lascaux area thousands of years ago, we decided to settle down in the Perigord. If you share our love for this area and our interest in prehistory and gastronomy The "Barn" can become your home for a week or more. Ideal for a couple it can sleep three people. This charming stone cottage has been lovingly restored by its former owners without losing anything of its rustic charm, with tile floors, exposed stone work, and oak beams.

The main room, 200 square feet, with an open fireplace opens directly onto the private salt-water pool (36 x 16 ft) through wide French doors that make the room light and airy. This room is also equipped with a sofa bed for two people. The 320 square foot bedroom, under the exposed -and yet insulated- roof framework, has a queen size bed and a single bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher; toaster, kettle, coffee maker (French press), gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge and sink. All the necessary cooking utensils and kitchen linen are provided.

The barn is located on a south-facing slope overlooking a little valley with woods, where many prey birds nest, and pastures where deer happen to venture. Right outside the barn a small garden in which you can eat out, unless you prefer the balcony overlooking the swimming pool, or the terrace by the swimming pool. Surrounded by a low wall of local honey colored stone in keeping with the other buildings, the swimming pool takes full advantage of the view across the countryside.
