La Foret is 30 kms SW of Périgueux, an important cultural and business centre of the Dordogne region situated on the banks of the Isle River. It has a medieval old town around the cathedral where you can visit the weekly open market for local produce or enjoy a cruise on the river. This area of the Périgord is renowned for its rich landscape of walnut plantations and oak forests where truffles are sniffed out by specially trained dogs or pigs! From the property there is easy access from the A89 motorway and is close to a variety of activities including canoeing, touring vineyards or visiting the many famous pre-historic sites. You can take a river cruise from Montpon (35 kms) in the flat-bottomed ‘gabarre’ boats or there is a river beach, canoeing/kayaking and river cruise-boat rental in Neuvic (4 kms). Golf 25kms in Chancelade. Shop, bar, restaurant and supermarket 4 kms in Neuvic-sur-Isle.
La Foret is a modern, detached holiday property set in its own grounds with view towards woodlands and near to the owner’s home and another holiday property. In a quiet hamlet outside the village of St Germaine du Salembre. Private swimming pool (8m x 5m).
All on one floor: Living/dining room with glazed door to small patio and pool terrace. Separate kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and counter-top oven. Washing machine. Twin bedroom. Shower room with WC. Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with WC.
All linen and personal towels included. No pool towels.
House can be booked for 4, 7, 11 or 14 night stays (7 & 14 nights only in July & August).

Payment Policy:
All rates are in euro. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel a booking we will charge the cancellation fee set out below. The percentage of the Rental Price we charge as a cancellation fee will depend on the time left before your rental is due to start.(a) If we receive your cancellation 43 or more days (six weeks plus one day or more) before you are due to arrive, you will lose your Booking Deposit of 30% of the rental price. (b) If we receive your cancellation on any day between the 42nd day (six weeks) before the date you are due to arrive and the 29th day (four weeks plus one day) before the date you are due to arrive you will lose 50% (half) of the Rental Price. (c) If we receive your cancellation on any day including or after the 28th day before your arrival date, then you will lose 100% (all) of the Rental Price. Rules: Rates are subjected to change without prior notice.
If you make your reservation at least six weeks before the rental period begins a Booking Deposit of 30% of the total rental cost is due at the time of the booking. The balance of the Rental Price is due no later than six weeks before the rental period begins. If we do not receive the balance of the Rental Price by that time, we will assume you have cancelled your booking. We are entitled to relet the property to other customers without contacting you again. If you reserve the property less than six weeks before the date you are due to arrive, you must pay the Rental Price in full when you make the booking.
