Villa Mon Repos : Charming 19th Century Miller’s House with Parklands Villa Mon Repos a charming 19th century miller’s house set in spacious parklands close to Dieppe (Seine-Maritime). Situated in the Scie valley, four miles from Pourville-sur-mer, a beach resort frequented by Claude Monet in the 1880’s. Villa Mon Repos is a miller’s house built in the 1830’s in Saint-Aubin-sur-Scie. Sometime after 1880, it was extended with the addition of ornamental flourishes.

The dutch gable on the southern end of the building dates from this time A pillared balcony, added to the facade after WW1, gave the house a touch of colonial elegance and refinement. Today, you can have a rest in a big garden with copper beeches and ash trees. On site parking. Summer quarters : nearby the river Scie, you are invited to taste a moment of rest on this terrace.

A continental breakfast (croissant, home made bread and jam, hot drinks) will be served in this large kitchen where 14 guests can be welcomed (8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.). You can relax by the fire place. Tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge,microwave. This big house has four spacious and cosy rooms, all individually decorated.

Le Frene bedroom - Next to its balcony is a large ash tree providing natural shelter for birds. You can enjoy a view of the entire wooded park from this large room, with its cosy atmosphere. King-Sized bed (180 x 200). Large storage space, one desk and TV set. Large shower (120 x 80) and private toilet.

Le Moulin bedroom - This large room with balcony overlooks the River Scie where you can admire the splendid cooper beeches. King-Sized bed (180 x 200). Two large storage spaces, one desk and TV set. Bathtub / shower and private toilet.

Le Phare bedroom - Queen Sized bed (160 x 200), television and large storage spaces. Single bed (90 x 200) in a separate bedroom. Shower and privative toilet. Ideal for one stay with one child!

Les Ivoires Suite - This large family suite reminds us of local ivory-carving for which several Dieppe families, flourishing since the Middle Ages, are renowned. This suite consists of two bedrooms and a living room, where family and friends can be together. Ideal for 4 people, it has two queen-sized beds, a shower and a private toilet. Another two people can be accommodated in the TV lounge –convertible sofa. In the bedrooms two exotic Queen Sized beds (160 x 200). Shower and private toilet. Ideal for one long stay with family or friends!
