The West Virginian, Beautiful cabin right next to the State Park The West Virginian is a spacious three story cabin. It sits quietly in the woods, but yet is only 1 mile away from Mc Keefer Lodge in Pipestem State Park. With it's 1800 square feet, spread out over three levels, it offers lots of privacy, and space. The cabin offerts all the conveniences of home, yet provides an atmosfere, unique to loghomes. One enters the cabin at the middle level, via a wrap around covered porch. At this level, you will find a very large kitchen, a dining table seating eight, a powder room and a small nook ideal for reading a book. On the upper level, there is a large bedroom with a queen bed, a smaller bedroom with two twins, and a large bathroom, with shower, clawfoot tub, double sinks and of course a toilet. Downstairs, you will find the living room, which includes a corner nook for games, easy chairs, queen sofa sleeper and entertainment facilities. On this level is the third, very spacious bedroom with two twin beds, and a bathroom with shower, toilet and a sink. The State Park, our direct neighbor, offers all kinds of activities, in which you can participate, such as an outside and inside pool, golf, horseback riding, hiking, an aerial tramway, fishing and much more. If you travel with your pets then this pet friendly Pipestem cabin is just perfect for you. Other outdoor activities such Hunting, fishing, archery are some of the outdoor activities you can indulge with from our cabin. Additionally, there is excellent shopping and fine dining. Payment Policy: All rates are in US Dollars. Security Deposit We do require a security deposit of $150 at the time of full payment for the cabin. This deposit will be returned to you within two weeks after you have vacated the cabin and after the caretaker has checked it. Cleaning fee The cleaning fee is $50, payable at time of full payment Cancellation Policy: For reservations of three days or more, we require a 25% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due 14 days before arrival. For reservations of less than three days, full payment is due at the time of booking. Due to the nature of our business and the fact that people do book their cabin generally well in advance, we do require a minimum of 30 days notice in order to give a full refund of your deposit, minus a $50 cancellation fee. If you do cancel your booking with less than 30 days notice of your arrival date, we will make every effort to re rent the cabin and refund your deposit, less $50 service charge.
In the event of bad weather or an early departure, we can not give any kind of refund. Rules: NON SMOKING.
Pet policy We do allow well mannered house broken pets. Because our property being adjacent to Pipe Stem State park, we did adopt a policy towards pets, very similar to that of the West Virginia State Parks.
