Villa with Private Pool - Peaceful Location in Small Hamlet Situated on the edge of an unspoiled hamlet 5 minutes from Sorges, the 'truffle capital of the Périgord', La Treille is a 19th century farmhouse, entirely renovated, with a private swimming pool and all modern conveniences, offering guests comfort, privacy, tranquility and the cultural and gastronomic riches of one of France's most delightful provinces. Tastefully furnished with country furniture, La Treille sleeps 2 to 6. Located in north-east Dordogne, La Treille looks out onto 12 acres of walnut groves and is surrounded by 800 acres of woods offering guests a choice of delightful signposted walks and cycling for children and adults.

Nearby sights include the Chateaux of Hautefort, Puyguilhem and Bourdeilles; the medieval towns of Périgueux, Brantôme and Excideuil are close by. The area offers caves, canoeing, tennis, golf, horseback riding and numerous children's activities (adventure parks, cycling on rail tracks). There are many excellent restaurants and open air markets within a short drive. The kitchen is open-plan and fully-equipped with dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, fridge & freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and ample cupboard space. A door opens out onto the terrace for outdoor dining.

Large living-room with exposed beams and old stone fireplace. Two comfortable leather couches and armchair and additional bed/couch. Dining area with antique walnut table and chairs, seats 6. DVD player, radio and CD player. One bathroom with bathtub, shower, WC, bidet and washbasin. Plus 2 separate WCs (one upstairs and one downstairs). French-windows open out onto a partially-covered terrace with view onto the pool, meadows and walnut groves. The front entrance is via a charming, walled-in courtyard.

For winter stays the house is fully insulated and centrally-heated. All the bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs so it is not suitable for handicapped or elderly people. There is however an extra bed in the living-room area. Pets are welcome but not allowed upstairs and must be fully vaccinated.
