The villages of Challiot, Passy and Auteuil were incorporated into Paris when Napoleon III ruled. He combined the villages with the Bois de Boulogne in 1860 to form the 16th Arrondissement. This somewhat modern Parisian building on Rue de Passy is next door to Gallery Passy Plaza, housing 32 boutiques, a famous enclosed food and fish market, and surrounded with 19th and 20 century art deco buildings. One could spend weeks in this neighborhood and not see it all.
