Waterfront Vacation Lodging offering Fishing, Hunting & Just Plain Relaxation Mt Chase Lodge is a long established recreational landmark in Maine's Shin Pond/Patten area. Visit our comfortable, full service, lodge and enjoy the peaceful seclusion of our private wooded, waterfront setting, and down home hospitality.Located on the shores of Upper Shin Pond just north of Millinocket and east of Baxter State Park, we are within sight of Mt. Katahdin and offer convenient access to Baxter Park's less crowded northern entrance and Maine's great North Woods.
Lakefront Lodging : No matter what your lodging preference, we can offer accommodations to fit every interest! Our comfortable lodge and private cabins offer excellent accommodations. Full bathrooms, automatic heat and electricity, and cooking equipment for those who prefer, are offered year round.The main Lodge offers large private rooms with comfortable beds, and an impressive lounging and dining area overlooking the water.
Lakefront Vacation Cabins : There are also five Cabins sleeping 2-8 people. All are equipped with full baths, automatic heat as well as wood stoves in some, and equipment for cooking, as some guests prefer. Cabin guests can also have their meals served in the Lodge if desired. We also have Rock Fireplaces and Picnic Tables at every Cabin for your convenience and enjoyment! All cabins have full bathrooms. The large cabins (Cabin 1, 2 and 3) have full kitchens. The log cabins have a refridgerator, microwave oven, coffee pot, toaster oven, hot plate, dishes, and light cooking pots and pans.
Great Country Style Dining : Home cooked family style meals are our specialty among with great Northern hospitality. No one goes away from our table hungry! Homemade breads, pies, muffins and other treats are served in the finest tradition.
Outstanding Outdoor Recreation : Whether it's fly fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, ski touring or camping in the wilderness, Mt. Chase Lodge is the place to do it.
• Hunting - Whitetail deer, moose, bear and upland game. We have a very large area for hunting and have been rather successful. We have packages for bear hunting and grouse hunting.
• Fishing - Maine is famous for its fishing. Right in our backyard, trout, salmon and bass have been caught off our boat dock. Not far from us is the world class Penobscot West Branch, pools and ponds are to be found in Baxter Park. Fly-out trips can be made to a vast area in the Moosehead and Katahdin region.
• Snowmobiling - Well groomed trails for snowmobiling run hundreds of miles in any direction and offer breathtaking scenery in this awesome winter landscape.
• Hiking - Your hiking adventures are made into memories at Mt Chase Lodge - the perfect place to stay during your treks. Just 15 miles from the northern entrance to Baxter State Park, the lodge offers all of the amenities most people desire, while being located in a quiet wilderness setting away from the hustle, bustle and congestion of Baxter State Park’s south entrance near the town of Millinocket.
• Wildlife Watching - Moose abound throughout the area. Even if you're not hunting, you are bound to see one. Loons, eagles, herons and other wildlife are common in the area.

American Plan (Lodging with family style meals included)
• Adults: $79 per day per person, main lodge, $89 per day cabin
• Children under 16: $45 per day, main lodge, $55 per day cabin
• Weekly Adults: $450 main lodge, $495 cabin
• Weekly children: $300 main lodge, $350 cabin
Cabin rates without meals:
• 1-2 persons $99 - 139 per day, $595 - $725 weekly
• Each additional adult: $20 per day
• Includes up to 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16
• CABINS INCLUDE ALL LINEN AND COOKING EQUIPMENT

Deposits
• A minimum deposit of one night’s stay or $150 for weekly is required for ALL reservations. It is applied to the last night of your stay, insuring that the space is occupied for the length of time requested.
• Deposits may be charged to a major credit card, MC/VISA/DISCOVER accepted, or you may send a personal check within 7 days.
• All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but may be transferred to a future date.
• NO REFUNDS FOR EARLY DEPARTURES.
• Meals and lodging rates are subject to an additional 7% state sales tax.
• All balances due on arrival.
Gratuities
Gratuities for lodge staff are customary and may be handled at the end of your stay. 10-15% of your bill is appropriate.
