Further details about property

Beautiful Fully Furnished Two-Story Upper Duplex in Restored 19c Townhouse Superb two bedroom two-story spacious 1300 sq. ft. upper duplex in a late nineteenth century townhouse in the heart of “Le Quartier des Spectacles” in downtown Montreal. Newly furnished and fully equipped (cable, high-speed internet, 40” flat screen TV with PVR, air conditioning, laundry room, walk-in closet) this apartment has plenty of character with exposed brick and beams and restored original floor and mouldings on the upper storey with a rooftop deck that leads off the master bedroom. Suprisingly quiet considering the location! The main floor also has an office size room with a pullout double futon, the bathroom has a sunken “Roman” cast-iron tub and there is a garage parking space(!). PLEASE NOTE: Some clients have expressed concerns regarding internet scams in relation to my rental property. Unfortunaley googling my name will bring up hits (on the site 800 notes for example)that talk about cons being run on the internet. The truth of the matter is that someone did take all of my rental information when I advertised on Craigslist this past summer and then put the apartment at a much lower price and asked for a deposit to be wired to him. I became aware of this when people began constantly ringing the doorbell asking to see my $600 a month apartment so I contacted Craigslist to investigate this fraud. They informed me that the most they could do was take the ad off their site but could not guarantee against such postings in the future. I was later contacted by someone in Toronto who had unfortunately sent money and had then reported the matter to the police. Apparently these scams were being run on an international scale and the appropriate authorities have been notified. Should you be interested in renting my unit and have any questions whatsoever regarding the legitimacy of this property or of my identity please do not hesitate to contact me and I will provide you with necessary proof. If so, you should know that the charming, quaint Montreal vacation rentals were invented for a traveler just like you. No other city in Canada has as much to offer in terms of culture and entertainment, so why would you spend your Montreal vacation trapped in a tiny hotel room listening to your neighbor’s television? Get out and enjoy life with freedom and flexibility in your vacation rental instead.

If you’ve heard of Montreal vacation rentals before, but aren’t really sure what makes them so different from commercial hotels, motels, and resorts, you should know that in most cases they are homes, apartments and condos that are owned privately, and in some cases by families from other provinces or countries. Because they can’t be at their property all the time, they agree to let it out to people like you who are interested in a more comfortable type of vacation accommodation. You’ll be surprised at how at home you feel.

Those that are wondering what kind of activities would be convenient should they choose to stay in Montreal vacation rentals should know that there are a wide variety of attractions and entertainment options for vacationers of all ages, and most will be just a few minutes’ walk or ride from the most centrally located rental properties. If you are young person looking to take an extended trip in Canada with several of your friends, you should know that some of the most popular vacation rentals are dorm or hostel style apartments that will fit quite nicely into your conservative budget.

If you’re looking for a cultural experience that is a little livelier than a trip to a museum or art gallery while you’re staying at Montreal vacation rentals, you should know that the Jean-Talon Market is a favorite among those that like to experience grocery shopping the way it used to be. Once you’ve sampled your way through the farmer and merchant booths, picking up souvenirs and tasty foods, you can bring them all back to your full sized apartment or condo to prepare a family style dinner in your fully appointed kitchen. Once you’ve experience the freedom of this kind of accommodations, you’ll never want to stay in a hotel again.
