Secluded Traditional Farmhouse with Private Solar Heated Pool In a quiet country lane approached by its own private drive, Castanet is a peaceful, comfortable and well-appointed farmhouse. Secluded but not isolated, facing sunny South-West in its own 3-acre meadow and surrounded by rolling fields of maize and sunflowers, complete privacy is assured. Beautiful solar-heated 10x5m heated pool and pool-house with shady dining area and summer kitchen.

Access couldn’t be easier; just two shallow steps from the large private parking area to the front terrace and then level throughout.

There are flowering tubs and a large wooden picnic table on the paved terrace leading to the glazed entry doors. High ceilings, chunky oak beams, white painted walls and tiled floors throughout give the house a clean, bright, airy and spacious feel.

Head across the terrace and through the gate to your very own secluded 10 x 5m solar-heated pool screened by high laurel hedges. The pool has shallow side entry steps and underwater lighting, and is surrounded by wide paved terraces. Protected by a security cover to comply with current French safety laws and in a fenced and gated area, it is ideal for the supervision of young children. Alongside, there is a well-tended lawn with plenty of space for games and sunbathing. The two mulberry trees provide a cool shady area in which to sit on hot summer days.

For those al fresco meals in the shade, the spacious pool house/summer kitchen/covered dining area has a large fridge/freezer, charcoal Weber BBQ, gas hob, large dining table and four comfortable rattan armchairs. On warm summer evenings as dusk approaches, this is an idyllic spot from which to watch the sunset accompanied by the sound of crickets and tree-frogs in the background.

Choose from among the many other paved seating areas on offer either in the shade to shelter from the midday heat or in full sun.

The rear garden enjoys panoramic views across the valley to Marmande and beyond.

Quality sun-loungers and parasols are provided and outdoor entertainment includes badminton, boules, an antique full-size croquet set and some in-pool/poolside games.

With a helpful, friendly English management team living in a village nearby, you can be assured of a carefree, relaxed holiday.
