Situated in Southern Brittany, in the area known as "Pays Bigouden", famous for its tall traditional Breton headdresses, Loctudy offers 12 km of coastline, ideal for shell picking and with many sheltered fine sandy beaches. Loctudy also has a fishing harbour and marina. It is located 25 km south west of the beautiful medieval city of Quimper, with its narrow cobbled streets and beautiful cathedral. 6 km from Pont l’Abbé, a pretty little town with many sites including a castle.

Le Guilvinec. 15 km. Picturesque fishing village which offers day after day, the colourful and lively show of its trawlers coming back laden with lobsters, eels, hakes under the seagullsÂ’ watchful eyes.
Pointe de la Torche. 15 km. Classified natural site at the southeastern tip of the Audierne Bay, popular with surfers.
Bénodet. 18 km. Charming and popular seaside resort and yachting centre with long and sheltered sandy beach. At the mouth of the Odet river, it can also be reached by boat from Quimper. The resort boasts a golf course, talassotherapy centre, casino and a good selection of restaurants.
Quimper. 25 km. Beautiful riverside city with narrow cobbled streets, a Gothic cathedral and a host of lively bars and restaurants. Famous for its Breton faience pottery and Armor Lux clothes factory which collections are inspired by the colours of the sea and Breton values.

Pont Aven. 55 km. ArtistsÂ’ haunt situated inland from the tip of the Aven estuary. It is a small port popular with tourists and boasting many art galleries. Made famous by Gauguin when he came to paint in the 1880Â’s before leaving for Tahiti and inspired the Pont Aven school.
Crozon Peninsula. 75 km. Scenic rugged coastline with numerous fishermenÂ’s ports and sheltered sandy coves. Spectacular natural setting for walks, bike rides and watersports.
