Protea Hill B&B Offers Great Accommodation, Privacy and Wonderful River Views Protea Hill is a Bed & Breakfast accommodation facility located in Tasmania's beautiful Tamar Valley. With fantastic views overlooking the Tamar River and distant mountain ranges. Protea Hill is the ideal location for relaxing peacefully in a very private setting while also providing a base for the exploration of the many local attractions. It offers Bed & Breakfast accommodation and facilities for up to six people including children.

The Apartment

The apartment is suitable for up to four people. The size of each room is approximately 4 x 4.5 meters. In one room is a queen size bed, in the other two single beds. To ensure your privacy we do not rent out the second room once you have booked. You can sit outside on your own verandah surrounded by the garden.

The cottage

The cottage is designed for two people. It is an extra cosy place with the most fantastic river view you can imagine. Sitting in the corner of the block surrounded by the garden you have all the privacy and quietness you could wish for.

Off-Street Parking: There is nothing like a peaceful night without having to worry about your car out in an unknown street. Protea Hill provides safe off-street parking for your car.

Barbeque: If you would like to have a barbeque at the outside picnic area on a nice summer afternoon, we are quite happy to provide firewood and any kitchen utensils you need.

Launceston - Five Minute Drive: Discover Launceston and visit it's many local attractions including walks, museums, cruises, tours and wildlife reserves. Cataract Gorge - Three Minute Drive: The Cataract Gorge Reserve is one of the most spectacular recreational areas in Launceston, located only a few minutes from the city centre.

Tamar Valley Wine Route: Drive north along the West Tamar highway (A7) and follow the Tamar Valley Wine Route Signs from vineyard to vineyard through along beautiful river views, experiencing the fine local wines and produce. There is a sign Protea Hill. That is where we are.
