The Modern Cottage is An Ideal Holiday Retreat Delightfully located in the heart of the Scottish west coast this modern cottage is an ideal holiday retreat. Only a couple of hundred metres from a beach, with stunning views over Gruinard bay to Gruinard Island and on to the Summer Isles in the distance, surrounded by mountains, with Suilven and An Teallach the most prominant, as you look from the lounge or sit in the garden. There are a host of clean sandy beaches nearby with the Laide beach on your doorstep and Mellon Udrigle, Gruinard, Aultbea,and Gairloch(3 beaches) all short drives away. Excellent for fishing and tiring the children out.

The cottage offers two bedrooms-the master bedroom is en-suite, with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinets etc. The second bedroom is a large room comfortably accommodating a single bed and bunk beds with a wardrobe and bedside cabinet etc. There is a fully equipped kitchen,with fridge and freezer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, kettle, dishwasher and plenty crockery and cutlery. The dining room is open plan to the kitchen and lounge, with a large table and chairs.

In the lounge there is a suite, stereo and CD player, a selection of books, TV and DVD player.(there is no TV reception but we do provide a selection of DVDs). The lounge has windows with stunning views over the sea, and of Suilven and An Teallach. There is also a washing machine available, and the main bathroom with bath, shower toilet and hand baisin. From Inverness,take the A9 across the Kessock Bridge and follow signs for Ullapool. At Braemore Junction turn left and Laide is 29 miles from here. At the post office/petrol station in Laide turn right, then take the 1st right into Columba Court and 1st right again. The cottage,Suilven, No.7 is the middle cottage.
