Hidden Cove Estate: Private Beach Paradise The Hidden Cove Estate is a quality built craftsman style house set on one of the most private beach sites in Ketchikan, Alaska. The 3 acre property offers an awesome 413 feet of beach. The first-class accommodations are located 7 miles north of the airport and ferry terminal on the Tongass Narrows. The majestic view includes Guard Island Lighthouse and Prince of Wales Island and a variety of wildlife including eagles, otters, orca and humpback whales, seals, sea lions and jumping salmon.

Beautiful sunsets are common and the Northern Lights can make for a spectacular treat. Perched on the water’s edge is an Alaskan boathouse decorated with a nautical theme and can be your retreat for morning coffee. It offers additional sleeping quarters for the more adventurous soul. You’ll feel as if you are on your own island while beach combing or sitting at the fire pit.

If you have a kayak, you can launch right from your own beach. You will enjoy the utmost privacy yet, a few hundred yards away, you can purchase gasoline, food, hunting and fishing licenses and rent DVD’s. The house has a well-equipped, custom built kitchen stocked for a full breakfast. You can prepare your catch-of-the-day on the gas grill provided on the large upper deck, dine at the picnic table and then relax on the wood swing set just above the beach.

Your indoor entertainment is enhanced by the leather sofa and love seat that will cradle you as you watch DVD’s or a great selection of satellite channels on the large 45” LCD TV, or listen to CD’s on the stereo. Enjoy a soothing bath in one of the two full bathrooms after a day of local activities and then slip into bed with only the sounds of nature around you.

Sleeping arrangements in the 3 bedrooms include 2 pillow-top queen beds and 2 twin beds that can be converted into a king size bed. Our large utility room has a bunk bed with full size futon and all linens are a quality high thread count. Our repeat customers are a tribute to our attention to detail and all appreciate the many bonus features that include complimentary use of wireless internet and washer and dryer. Your hosts, Ray and Kathy, live five minutes away and Ray is a life-long Ketchikan resident who is happy to share information about local sites.
