Ref 10533 Hillary's Cottage is located 100m uphill from the Ring of Beara, 9 miles from Kenmare town in County Kerry. The cottage has four bedrooms in total, consisting of three doubles (two of which are on the ground floor) and one first floor family room with double and single bed, meaning it can sleep nine people in total. Guests have use of a first floor bathroom with bath, basin and WC and also a ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. The living accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with log burner and additional dining area, leading through to a spacious conservatory. Outside, there is an enclosed lawned garden and private patio with garden furniture, along with off road parking for 2 cars. With sandy beaches within easy reach, and lovely scenery to enjoy on the nearby Beara Peninsula, Hillary's Cottage makes a great base for a holiday in County Kerry.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday. Rules: Changeover Day: 'Sat'.

Kenmare regional information

Kenmare is located at the head of Kenmare Bay sometimes called the Kenmare River (An Ribhéar) where the Roughty River (An Ruachtach) flows into the sea, and at the junction of the Iveragh Peninsula and the Beara Peninsula. The traditional Irish name of the bay was Inbhear Scéine from the celtic inver, which is recorded in the 11th Century narrative Lebor Gabála Érenn as the arrival point of the mythological Irish ancestor Partholón. It is also located near the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, Mangerton Mountain and Caha Mountains and is a popular hillwalking destination.
