Hale Puko'o Cottage: Vacation Rental Cottage with Private Beach Access Hale Puko'o is located in a lovely Hawaiian community with a convenient and well stocked neighborhood store only a short walk away. About 16 miles east of Kaunakakai, Hale Puko'o offers all the refined amenities for a couple or a small family. Larger groups may be accommodated by also booking the adjacent beach front home. The cottage is designed with a tropical feel of woven bamboo, seagrass and high pitched ceilings with palm leaf fans and consists of two bedrooms, one with California King, the other with a queen, open kitchen, dining and living area, slate walk-in shower and bath.
A covered deck off the living room area and master bedroom provide a quiet place to relax or dine. The beach is a walk across the lawn, 200 yards from the Cottage. With palms surrounding the deck each rental has privacy when rented to separate parties, but they are perfectly suited to rent together for groups up to ten people.
Whether coming from the beach or from a hike, the outdoor, family-sized bamboo shower offers a wonderful tropical refresher. Downstairs is a toilet, washer, dryer and gas grill. Payment Policy: Rates are in US Dollars.
Rates do not include a 13.42% state excise tax/accommodation tax and a one time cleaning charge of $75. Cancellation Policy: Reservations are confirmed when a deposit of 50% of total booking is received within 10 days after booking. Confirmation will be made by email once the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.
If making reservations within 45 days of your arrival, full payment will be required at time of booking. Payment for rentals is by check or money order. Sorry we do not accept credit cards. Cancellation of a booking at any time after receipt of initial deposit will result in forfeiture of the initial 50% deposit unless the unit can be re-booked for the same time period at the same rate. Cancellation within 45 days of arrival will result in 100% loss of paid amounts unless the unit can be re-booked for the same time period at the same rate of the initial booking.
If only a portion of the rental time is re-booked, a pro-rata refund will be made. There will be a $50 cancellation fee applied to all refunds. To protect against cancellations due to unforeseen events, we recommend that guests purchase travel insurance. Rates and Policies are subject to change at any time.
