Island Park Rental Cabin Welcome to Lost River Retreat! This is our personal vacation getaway and we would like to share it with you. Island Park is actually the world's largest crater, 23 miles in diameter, created from a volcano which collapsed in prehistoric times and formed Yellowstone National Park.
Now covered in dense forest of pine and wild flowers, it is mecca for hiking and fishing in summer and cross country skiing and snow mobile in winter.
From incredible scenery of Mesa Falls and Big Springs to the abundant wildlife and Yellowstone you will always have something to do. Or if you prefer simply chill out and enjoy the hot tub and cabin, sitting in over 2 acres and with no close neighbors you will have a private and relaxing stay.
If you are into 4 wheelers there are several options for renting machines in Island Park and there are hundreds of miles of trails to ride. It is a unique experience to ride through the forest just to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty all around you
Want to enjoy county from horseback? There are several options available including rides in Centennial Mountains starting just 10 minutes from Lost River Retreat. The scenery is unmatched and there are rides available for all skill levels from first timers to expert. An afternoon on horseback is sure to give you the feeling of what mountain men and pioneers felt when they first discovered the region. Payment Policy: 30% payment is due at the time of reservation unless booking within a 60 day window of your rental, in that case full payment is required. Damage Deposit of $750 is required. This is secured by credit card and is completely separate from the nightly rental rate. If there is no damage or theft your card is not charged. Thre is a $100 non-refundable cleaning fee for all rentals. Cancellation Policy: 60 Day cancelation policy: When canceling 60 days plus prior to your reservation you will receive a full refund. When canceling within the 60 day period the funds you have paid are non-refundable unless we can rebook the cabin g=for that period. If the dates can be rebooked you will receive a refund minus a $75.00 rebooking fee. Rules: No Smoking: $300.00 will be deducted for your damage deposit if the cabin smells like cigar or cigarette smoke. No Pets: No pets are allowed at Lost River Retreat, if you bring a pet $300.00 will be deducted from your damage deposit and you will be evicted. Household Trash: Guests are responsible to remove all their trash and take to the Island Park Landfill which is located 1 block off Yale-Kilgore road (you will pass the entrance coming or going to the cabin) There is no trash service so you must bag and remove your trash. A comprehensive rental agreement will need to be signed if you decide to rent Lost River Retreat but the above covers most of the rules.
