Once a simple place of transhumance for Ghisoni shepherds, Ghisonaccia became a prosperous village in the sixties (3,300 inhabitants) with the agricultural boom , and now has all the regular services (post office, bank, supermarket) available to locals and tourists. Beside the town hall and granite cenotaph is the Saint-Michael parish church tower.
