Further details about property

The Tide Watcher Suite, a haven of tranquility on the waterfront Tide Watcher has 2 bedrooms, each with a duvet-covered queen bed, plus a twin bed in one of the bedrooms. There is a full bath with tub and shower, plus an ensuite bathroom with stall shower in the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for whatever you want to prepare, from lobster to blueberry muffins. In addition to cable TV and DVD and VHS players, the building is wired for Ethernet, making it easy to use your laptop with high speed DSL internet connection. There is premium white oak flooring throughout the apartment, with linoleum in the kitchen and bathrooms. You have your own laundry room with stacked washer and dryer, complete with iron and ironing board.

You will find a small collection of books, games and jigsaw puzzles to wile away the occasional foggy or rainy day, including the mystery novels of Eastport's own Sarah Graves.

Linens and towels are provided, as well as a binder of information and brochures of area attractions. A spacious deck overlooks the water, complete with gas grill and patio table and chairs for you to enjoy your coffee while watching the sun rise over Campobello.

Water's Edge is similar to Tide Watcher in all respects, expect that it has one bathroom, with tub and shower. Each of its two bedrooms has a queen bed. In the off season, we offer Sabbatical rentals, which are perfect for authors or composers, for spiritual retreats, for painters and for those just needing a restful or healing setting. We invite you to inquire.

From the muffled morning sounds of fishing boats leaving the nearby working harbor, to watching seagulls, seals, eagles and loons, having a glass of wine on the deck as you welcome the first moonrise in the nation and snuggling down after seeing a night full of stars, you will be so happy here.

You can easily enjoy all aspects of the walkable historic district, from the tugboats and fishing vessels that work the waters of Passamaquoddy Bay, to the intricate brickwork of the Frontier National Bank and the Peavey Library. The Pickled Herring restaurant and Bank Square Pizza and Deli (with some of the best Mexican food north of the border) are just across the street. There are several other restaurants within easy walking distance on Water Street, and the IGA supermarket is a short drive away.

The Commons is a group, a building, a dream. Nine area women have joined their energy and resources to restore this historic building on Eastport’s waterfront. In The Shop at The Commons, we offer the work of 90+ fine artists and artisans for sale: burl bowls, hand-knit sweaters, botanical paintings, original jewelry, handmade paper note cards, balsam pillows, Passamaquoddy ash baskets, wildlife paintings, silk jackets, and so much more.
