Vue de Duras - Gite and B & B : 2 miles from Medieval Town of Duras Vue de Duras Gite

The Vue de Duras Gite stands amongst vines and plum trees next to our chambre d’hotes. It has spectacular views across the valley and vineyards to the medieval town of Duras with its magnificent chateau. Duras is just 2 miles away and has restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket, and a market twice a week. The Chateau des Vigiers Golf and Country Club is 20 minutes drive away.

The Gite, opened in June 2011, is a lovely two bedroom holiday cottage that still has its original lovely old oak beams that have been incorporated into a comfortable and stylish interior. The two bedrooms have the latest zip lock beds that can be arranged as double or twin beds. Each bedroom has its own ensuite shower room, wc and wash basin. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge / diner that can be used to sleep 2 further people.

The open plan lounge with dining and kitchen area leads directly onto a new covered terrace, making the most of the beautiful south facing views over the valley to the chateau at Duras. Guests have full use of the large tiled swimming pool and the petanque pitch.

Guests taking a winter break will be able to relax in front of a roaring fire in the gite's log burner.

The Vue de Duras holiday cottage is situated on the borders of the Lot and Garonne, the Dordogne and the Gironde, is easily accessible from Bergerac and Bordeaux, and is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful countryside, medieval towns, vineyards and markets of all 3 departments.

Vue de Duras B & B (Chambre d’hotes)

The Vue de Duras Chambre d'hotes offers luxury accommodation in 3 en suite bedrooms including rooms suitable for couples and families; evening meals are available if required.

The Vue de Duras B & B offers a large lounge that is south facing with wonderful views across the valley. It has direct access to the terrace, pool, and garden. It has hifi, TV, DVD and a large log burner. There is Wifi and guests have access to a computer in the study that also has a book sharing facility.

The Wisteria Balcony Room offers spacious accommodation with a king-size bed and its own wisteria-clad balcony overlooking the vines and plum trees, making the most of the views towards the Chateau de Duras. It has an en suite shower room with wc.

The Vines Suite has 2 bedrooms that share their own en suite private shower room with wc. One bedroom has a king-size double and the other can be arranged as a double or a twin. It is ideal for two couples or a family of four.

The Orchard Room is a large family room, with a double and single bed as well as room for a cot. It has a beautiful exposed stone wall and lovely views of the plum orchards. It has a newly fitted en suite bathroom with wc.

The room rates are from 65 euros (or £60) for 2 people sharing in double or twin bedded rooms including breakfast. Evening meals if required - 22 euros per person.
