Blueberry Ridge Guesthouse : Newly Built Carriage House Blueberry Ridge Guesthouse, a newly built carriage house on a quiet acreage, is a one-bedroom, self-catered and private vacation getaway. We are located on central Vancouver Island, nestled in the northern end of the Comox Valley in the rural area of Merville. Merville gets its name from Merville, France, where Canadian soldiers were headquartered during the First World War. Immediately following WWI, some of those same soldiers became the first inhabitants of Merville, BC.

We offer a full kitchen ideal for preparing fresh BC salmon or halibut caught on one of the island’s famous guided fishing trips. After dinner, curl up by the warm and inviting gas fireplace with a glass of wine from the region. Vancouver Island is known for its many famous wineries, with the closest one to us being Beaufort Vineyards in Courtenay, BC, only minutes from here. Or, sit out on the deck and enjoy the quiet solitude this property has to offer.
