Comfortable Rural Cottage Cordes sur Ciel This pretty three bedroom cottage has plenty of period charm, views over the countryside from the raised deck and a large garden area for your energetic children. Set within a small cluster of stone built farm buildings, complete with courtyard and a well, this is a very characterful place to spend your holiday. The owners live within the same cluster which means that you are well supported, have a trip advisor on hand yet have plenty of privacy and peace and quiet. The cottage has exclusive use of a pool (8m x 4m) which is fully enclosed for safety. Les Lavandes accommodates up to seven adults with cots available for small children. It has been carefully restored to retain its original character and features. The Cottage has three double bedrooms, all en-suite, a spacious lounge opening onto a large balcony with stunning views and a large kitchen/dining room. The rooms are all very comfortably furnished and the spacious kitchen/diner is equipped with a dish washer, fridge/freezer,microwave,oven, coffee machine and crockery and cutlery for 8 people. English TV/DVD ,CD player and Ipod dock are all provided. There is a wireless broadband connection. With many acres of vineyards in the Gaillac area, this is an archetypal French landscape with a bountiful supply of fine wine and delicious food. The closest village is the lovely Cordes-Sur-Ciel which is a mere 2 minutes away by car and is within walking distance. This pretty medieval village is perched on a hill and is the stuff of postcards. It has a good choice of local shops (2 supermarkets, 2 boulangeries, a butcher, a chemist and a choice of restaurants) which makes this a great place to base your holiday.Markets take place every Saturday.
