An Old Log Cabin Tastefully Restored Finely Furnished And Loaded Nestled in the woods in a private setting three miles from Yellowstone Park is an old log cabin tastefully restored, finely furnished and loaded with rustic charm. This is truly a unique rental property outstanding in its authentic western decor and most certainly one of a kind. Wolf watching along the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park is enjoyed by people from all over the world. Birdwatching is a popular pastime from hawks to hummingbirds.
The deck features a BBQ gas grill, Adirondack chairs and view of the mountain waterfall. Queen size air mattress & electric pump for sleeping out under the stars and enjoying the sound of the wind in the trees are also available. The great room is tastefully furnished with justification galore and seating for six people.
Stone fireplace in the great room is adorned with trophy mounts. There is comfortable seating for 6 people. Sofa day bed in the living room sleeps one person. All sheets, blankets, extra pillows and comforters provided. There is seating for four in the dining area. The kitchen has a four burner gas stove, oven & broiler, refrigerator, toaster, blender, coffee maker. All dishes and utensils plus microwave are supplied.
The bedroom has a queen size bed. All sheets, blankets, extra pillows and comforters provided. The loft contains 2 twin size beds. All sheets, blankets, extra pillows and comforters are provided. The bathroom has a tall shower and deep tub. All towels and soaps provided. Stone fireplace in the great room is adorned with trophy mounts. There is comfortable seating for 6 people.
The cabin is only three miles from Yellowstone National Park and within 45 minutes of five blue ribbon trout waters including Hemmingway's favorite, the Clark's Fork. Angling can be enjoyed on the Yellowstone River, the Lamar River, Soda Butte Creek, Sloush Creek, Pebble Creek, Hell roaring Creek, Miller Creek and Trout Lake.
The Absaroka Beartooth mountains to the east provide breathtaking views and numerous trails for hiking or horseback riding. There are several lakes for fishing, kayaking, canoeing or swimming. Route 212 to Red Lodge takes you along the Beartooth Highway described by Charles Kuralt as "the most beautiful drive in America".
