La Mazilière - Lovely Family Vacation on French Country Side at Chenaud Enjoying the good life, what better place to do that than in the middle of a region that is known for its good wines and culinary regional food? And all this on a special, small-scale estate with a great atmosphere. Between Bergerac, Bordeaux and Cognac is a former hunting castle with 3 stylish holiday homes, furnished with the most beautiful materials, warm colours and wonderful fabrics. Enjoy the peace and quiet, the wonderful nature, the French villages and markets. Discover the diverse surroundings by foot, on a bicycle or on the golf course.
The main building is located around a courtyard, where you also find a well and a pigeon house. La Mazilière and la Dronne are situated in the hunting castle, La Grange can be found in one of the outbuildings. There is an abundance of space on the 3ha grounds. During summer you can enjoy the garden with ancient old lime trees, fruit trees and even a small forest. You can take a swim in the crystal clear water of the La Dronne River that borders the grounds.
La Mazilière - The mid part of the hunting floor, dating back to the 18th century. Original elements such as the old oak floor, beautiful old windows and characteristic stairs were kept. Large hallway with an ancient old tile floor and access to the living room and kitchen (65m²). Living room with sitting area, fireplace and dining area and TV/DVD and CD-player.
1st floor: 3 spacious bedrooms (30m²), all with their own theme and tastefully furnished. A bedroom with a double bed (1.80mx2.00m) and two bedrooms with a twin bed (2 beds 0.90x2.00m). Each bedroom has its own luxury bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. All bedrooms have a beautiful oak floor, fireplaces (no longer in use) and a smoke-detector.
Every bedroom has a safe. In every bedroom an extra (baby) bed can be placed for kids up to the age of 4. There is also a house for 4 persons and one for 2 persons.
