Owaka Lodge Motel in Heart of The Catlins The Catlins have so much to offer you – many beautiful beaches, bush walks, waterfalls, including the beautiful Purukaunui Falls and McLean Falls, the Cathedral Caves, and the remains of a fascinating petrified forest. The area abounds in native birds including rare Hoiho Penguins, as well as Hooker’s Sea Lions, seals and native flora – the entire district is a photographer’s dream!

Our motel has four modern units which sleep one to six, equipped with single to king-size beds. You can choose from Family units with separate sleeping, kitchen and bathroom, or Studio units with en suites. The kitchens have microwaves and cooking facilities. All our units have Free view TV, electric blankets, and heating. We provide you with complimentary tea/coffee and milk, and continental breakfast is available on request. We have Laundry facilities and wireless internet on site and shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Because we have just four units, we specialise in personal attention. You’ll love our clean, bright modern units, and our relaxed country setting. Our units have either King or Queen Beds with sofa and single beds. Beds are made up with fresh linen. Two of the units have a shub/shower.
