Luxury Country House: Casa Laranjeira, Southerly Views of Un-Spoilt Alentejo Casa Laranjeira offers luxury accommodation for a maximum of six persons, comprising of a double room, twin room and a room with large bunk beds. All bedrooms have en suite facilities. This country house can also be reserved as two occupied bedrooms, comprising of a double room and a twin room. A different rate will apply. Furnished to a high standard, Casa Laranjeira has a cool, spacious comfortable lounge and dining area complete with Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, DVD, Radio and CD player. A large selection of DVDs, books and board games are provided to suite all ages.
It has a large well equipped kitchen with granite worktops, an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, 18 bottle wine cooler cabinet, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, electric juicer, an iron and an ironing board. All three bedrooms have en-suite facilities, walk-in showers, WC, hand basin and bidet. High vaulted ceilings and shuttered windows give these bedrooms a bright and fresh feel. All beds are made up prior to your arrival. A hairdryer and a UK/European travel plug is provided in the master bedroom.
The exterior is tradionally painted in the style of the Montes of the Alentejo Campo, white washed walls and azure blue lined windows and doors. Double doors open from the lounge onto a large private covered dining terrace. This terrace is complete with a large circular dining table and chairs, cane furniture, and a hammock: a vantage point for the stunning southerly views over miles of un-spoilt Alentejo plains.
For extra comfort during the winter months, this house has under floor heating with individual thermostatic controls in every room. We restored the original dry stone walls to keep the farmhouse naturally cool in the summer months. In addition we offer cooling fans in the bedrooms. Hot water is provided by a solar water system. We provide night lights in all the bedrooms. This traditional Alentejano country house is finished with white washed walls and beautiful brick arches.
It has traditional terracotta floors throughout with wooden shuttered windows, high vaulted beamed ceilings and an open fireplace. Built on solid rock the room levels do vary with one step between some rooms. The house has a further private landscaped area, a brick BBQ and provides immediate access to the swimming pool. No smoking is permitted anywhere inside the properties, sand trays are provided on the terraces. Payment – We accept the following payment: Sterling cheque or direct bank transfer and Euros direct bank transfer only. Exchange rate calculated at the point of reservation for the deposit and 1week prior to final payment date. We require your 40% non refundable deposit when making your reservation. Reservations are not guaranteed until we are in receipt of your deposit. The balance must be received 6 weeks prior to your arrival and we reserve the right to cancel a holiday where payment has not been received 6 weeks before the commencement date. All bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival must be paid in full. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within seven days of receiving our written confirmation, we will refund the balance of any money you have paid us. After such period, if you cancel your booking more than six weeks prior to the Arrival Date, we will retain the Initial Deposit.
If you cancel your booking less than six weeks prior to the Arrival Date, we reserve the right to retain the Initial Deposit and the Rental. In these circumstances we will refund the Rental (less any additional costs incurred) to you if we are able to secure an alternative booking for the Property.
If you need to change your reservation we will try to accommodate, however if this is not possible we are unable to refund your deposit. Rate includes 6% VAT.
Cancellation – Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by phone and confirmed in writing or email. If we are able to re-let your booking we will refund to you the final letting price (which may be less than you paid) less an administration fee. If we are unable to re-let there will be no refund under any circumstances. Rules: Rates are subjected to change without prior notice.
