”Il Pino Grande” Farmhouse Receive Their Guests in this Mano Manor House The name that Pavan brothers, the actual heirs, gave the farm is in honour of a 300 years old huge pine belonging to the pinus pinea family which is about 25mt high and with a circumference at its base of about 4mt. The garden where it lives includes also an imposing exemplar of quercus lanuginose (which is more than 1000 years old), a rare heritage, together with wild pear trees, brambles and some other Mediterranean scrub plants, of the typical flora that used to cover Puglia wide lands (the local tradition, that was already talking about Frederick’s wood, seems to be recently confirmed in a document dated 1278).

Inside the farmhouse there are two rooms at the ground floor (the reception and the breakfast room) and a 55sm refreshment hall (we can receive in the whole up to 70 guests). The upper floor, which can be reached also by elderly people or disabled persons thanks to an elegant lift, offers seven different sized bedrooms, two of which are very wide and can receive additional little beds. The hospitality offers also a small library and two living rooms (TV upon request). If your stay includes one of these two bedrooms together with the living room (including a wide bathroom), it is possible to have also the availability of a suite like room, from which you can access to a 180sm terrace, offering a wide view on the surrounding countryside, Castel del Monte and Murgia hills.

All the rooms have heating and most of them air conditioning too, with period doors and windows frames and are furnished with the last six generations family furniture, contributing to give your stay an intimate and cosy characteristic, which is one of “il Pino Grande” main goals. In order to respect the building original structure (restoration works have been excellently directed by the engineer Natalino Petrone di Corato), it has not been possible to provide all rooms with private facilities..

There is a wide garden available for our guest, suitable for reading and spending peaceful and quite moments under the trees, or spaces dedicated to the games and sports (swings, five-a-side football field, clay court bowling). A wide parking can receive also our Restaurant guests’ CAMPERVANS where to overnight.

Finally, many itineraries starting from the farmhouse offer interesting walks or mountain-bike rides (to hire) in the countryside or in the close pinewood of Finizio (abt 150 hectares) or on Savignano hill, facing the farmhouse, where you can better appreciate our place flora and fauna and where you can see, in very clear days, the Gulf of Manfredonia inlet or Lucania mountains (Mount Vulture on Monticchio lake).

There is a riding school very close to our farmhouse that can be contacted for horse-riding excursions or for booking ultralight aircrafts for short panoramic flights on the area.
