Further details about property
Traditional Villa with Pool and Garden This country villa stands on the edge of a traditional Provencal village. Set in a large cottage-style garden (not overlooked)there is a private swimming pool with a stonework fountain. Within the safely fenced garden is a "boules" area, a table tennis table and a sandpit, tree-swing and paddling pool.Childrens amusements and parents convenience are our priority, so we will arrange Babysitting/Childminding at agreed times and rates.
On the raised terrace is a large mosaic table with iron work seating and gas barbecue shaded by an ancient grape vine and climbing roses, surrounded by traditional Mediterranean flower pots and herbs for your cooking. The kitchen, dining room and living room each open onto this terrace via double glass doors, giving a feeling of interconnectedness to the whole ground floor. The dining room shares a glassed-in wood-burning fire with the living room. Here a huge leather/fabric sofa and easy chairs surround a low table, perfect for family games or reading from the extensive English library. There is English satellite TV, DVD, CD, video, and a good selection of films and music.
Upstairs are 4 bedrooms, 2 with Queensize beds, 2 with twin beds, 2 cots are also available, as are high chairs and stair gates. One shower room is en-suite, with a bidet, the other has a bath/shower and a separate toilet. There is a second toilet downstairs. There are views of the Luberon hills from two of the bedrooms.
The village centre is only 500m away, with its markets, shops, bar, restaurants. There is a large swimming lake and climbing park and several wine caves. All around are delightful hill walks and bike rides and pretty villages to visit. Further afield is the cultural centre of Avignon and the beaches of the Cotes d@Azure.
