Nanteuil: Recently Refurbished Gite Set in 12 acres of Beautiful Countryside 3 bedroom, recently refurbished Gite set in 12 acres of beautiful countryside. Situated in the National Park region of the Perigord Vert in North Dordogne, Nanteuil is a tiny hamlet of some 15 or so dwellings, this tranquil village farmhouse is set on the side of a beautiful valley with outstanding views of the countryside.
The property is situated in grounds of some twelve acres, and is very safe for children being situated at the end of a private road. The accommodation is on two floors.
The ground floor is with large open plan kitchen/diner and lounge area. There is a door leading off to the front entrance lobby, large double bedroom (ideal for the slightly infirm or elderly), a bath/shower room and separate WC.
In the newly fitted kitchen, which is equipped with washing machine, microwave cooker, electric oven, gas hob, fridge etc, there is a large family dining table which may come in handy for those larger get – togethers.
From the comfortable lounge area with its original beams and beautiful stone walls – plus a sofa bed should it be needed - a staircase leads to the large first floor landing and two double bedrooms. These two bedrooms having the benefit of shared shower and toilet facilities. The rooms have original exposed wooden beams and in some cases, stone walls.
Outside there is ample parking space, garden furniture and BBQ. The surrounding area is ideal for short walks (or long walks for the more energetic) as there are numerous footpaths and lots of lakes to admire, some with sandy beaches, bars and supervised bathing. Cycling is also a popular pastime.
The beautiful city of Perigueux is only a hour away and the outstanding ancient town of Brantome, aptly called “Little Venice” with its bridges and waterways which can be safely explored by canoe or barge.
