350 year old stylishly renovated house, gorgeous view!! For 2 - 12 persons Calm and quiet, our big house (with many antique details like old stone-tiles, antique wooden beams..) is situated in a small little "hameau" called "Pestous"- 5 km away from the main road you enjoy heavenly peace without traffic noise.
The landscape is beautiful -you will love the variety: In one direction you reach the Mediterranean in about an hour - in the other direction mountains of about 1000 m above sea- the view you have from the house is great!!
Relax on the balcony-terrace or one of the (sunny or shady) terraces in the garden. Medievally town "Olargues" (marked as one of the 100 most beautiful cities in France!), with excellent restaurants is 10 minutes drive away. Lakes and rivers to have a swim are nearby, to the Mediterranean is little more than 1 hour drive.
The "Gorges d'Heric", one of the most spectacular ravines of France, is 20 minutes away - walking, or bathing in crystal-clear water-basins. Delightfully also for motor biking: Wonderful curve-roads, paradise for Enduro-, Tour- and Supermoto! Also good training for mountain bikers.
Beziers is 1 hour drive, Montpellier you reach in 1,5 hours, Barcelona in about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Other activities nearby: Canoe, climbing, Golf We spent lots of time to make an authentic restoration of this house (built in 1651 - when Louis XIV was king of France...), but we were also aware of having the modern standard you need to feel comfortable (new kitchen, built 2011, with gas/electric stove, microwave, big refrigerator, dishwasher....)
The house is ideal for holidays of 2 or 3 families together or a group. If you stay there with a group of people you have the possibility of using two kitchens, because on every floor you find a fully equipped kitchen, also two TVs, one in every living room. Payment Policy: All rates are in Euros. They are including gas, water and firewood, charge for electricity in dependency on consumption
After making a booking request we will send you a Booking Request Confirmation requesting the payment of a non refundable deposit (normally 30% of the total).
Please check the document for any errors as changes to your booking may not be possible after payment of the deposit.
Payment of the deposit indicates agreement of the tenants with these terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to cancel the booking request if the deposit is not paid within 7 days of us sending the Booking Request Confirmation.
The balance of the payment (+ 250,-€ damage deposit, which is paid back after our stay, if there are no damages..) must be paid 4 weeks before your arrival.
If the balance is not paid within this time we reserve the right to cancel the reservation with loss of the deposit. Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event of a significant change to what you would be expecting us to provide or cancellation of the booking by us due to circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you as soon as possible.
A full refund will be made by us within 7 days.
Any cancellation by you (for whatever reason) must be made in writing (and sent via recorded delivery), the effective date of cancellation is the date we receive written notification.
Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to arrival will be charged at full cost.
Cancellations received between 2 and 4 weeks prior to arrival will be charged at 75% of the full cost.
Cancellations received between 4 and 6 weeks prior to arrival will be charged at 50% of the full cost. Rules: Pets allowed - but not in the bedrooms!

Bénodet is one of the most fashionable seaside resorts in Brittany . The town is home to a casino, a thalassotherapy, cinema, a marina , hotels and a few beaches. As with many coastal towns in Brittany , there are many second homes in the town, the population increasing sixfold over the summertime. Bénodet is also home to menhirs and a church named after Brigid of Kildare, a 5th century Irish saint; which was built at the end of the 11th century and classed as a historic monument in 1916. The town is home to the Tri Martolod brewery.
