You can visit the city without a car and enjoy all the shops and the central markets and numerous restaurants, visit the Palais des Papes and another monuments, stroll into the medieval city. You can rent a bicycle in self-service to visit the city, the island of the Rhone, go to visit the Chartreuse of Villeneuve-les-Avignon. For longer stays, a car will be useful to visit the area within a radius of 100kms: Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles, Orange, Nimes, Montpelier, Mont Ventoux, the Luberon, the Gorgesde l'Ardeche.
