 À côté de l'église bâtie au XVIème / XVIIème siècle se trouve le couvent où vit une communauté de frêres capucins; au cours des siècles l'église de la renaissance fut constamment embellie et la Casa del Padre abrite aujourd'hui un musée d'objets sacrés.

La téléphérique Orselina-Cardada et le télésiège Cardada-Cimetta sont remis en marche, après avoir été entièrement reconstruits, en l'an 2000 ( sur un projet de Mario Botta).
