Position: Trôo is a mediaeval village, also well known as an ancient Troglodyte site. It has a bakery and restaurant. Four miles away, along the Loir river, the lovely old town of Montoire has many shops and a supermarket. Within easy reach of the Loire chateaux and the famous vineyards. Well worth visiting are La Chartre and Poncé sur le Loir, Courdemanche and the wonderful castles at Le Lude and Blois. Le Verger is set in about half an acre of orchard with wonderful views of the valley, city walls and church. Garden furniture, parasol and a barbecue on request. Bed linen included.
