A Wonderful Spot with Views and Sunsets to Be Enjoyed The villa accommodation consists of the detached garden cottage and a terrace apartment above the villa to be let as one unit for four adults and up to eight persons. The cottage can cater for two adults and up to four adults. The accommodation can be split into two double bedroom self contained units with private patio,use of gardens and the large swimming pool in the grounds of Villa Cordelia Portugal.

Many of our trees in the grounds are very many years old and smoking could prove hazardous. We do not encourage smoking. We can allow smoking on the patio area outside the cottage and apartment terrace area only. We supply ashtrays which must be used at all times. There is private parking in front of cottage for guests who wish to hire a car during stay. If you are thinking of inviting friends , arrange a day with exclusive use of the pool to suit your time schedule which is shared only with owners or the villa apartment at certain times. We have male and female changing rooms by the pool.

The accommodation is solar heated, giving constant hot water with AC units for heating or to keep cool in the heat of the summer. For the winter season, there are oiled filled radiators and wall radiators.

The parish of Algoz is in the municipality of Silves Algarve Portugal the origins in the Arabic word AL-Guzz Quinta Larga Vista foral is found with in the municipality of Silves and it's parishes.

The name derives from the name of a war-like Asian tribe from the Middle East,some of whom settled in the area in the 12th century. There has been many archaeological finds in the area revealing much about the past where poeple have lived since ancent times. The parish is bordered to the north by Sao Bartolomeu de Messines,to the east is Tunes and Pera on the south and west .A stream also called Algoz runs to the north from a easterly direction ,and from the north west a tributary joins the stream which is called Barranco Longo.Further on the stream flows under the Alcantarila bridge where the name changes to the Alcantarilha stream. This watercourse finally flows in to the atlantic between Pera and Armacao de Pera.

When you visit The Garden Cottage at Villa Cordelia there are mountain bikes supplied for the use of our guests who wish to enjoy the discovery of the eight parishes of Silves. see the history of the Algoz and its eight parishes all within reasonable reach by cyclying to enjoy the discovery of this region of the Algarve for a great cyclist holiday or just to use for a good bike ride around the local area passing by citrus groves,vine yards,orchards seeing the magnicficant country side and discovery of hamlets and villages so you may visit and see the tranditional portugal with flat bits and hilly bits to make that fun day out and a warm sunny day.

The best season or time of year to enjoy this pleasure of cycling from Foral Quinta Larga Vista is from the month of March to the end of June and from Mid September until end of November. December,January and Feburary are months for the hardy types that are very keen cyclist and wish to train using the peaceful roads and by ways of the Algarve and enjoy the warm rain at times on their routes around this area to the coast or to the hills and mountains for that specilist bike ride and most likely would bring their own road bikes or mountain bikes. July, August and early September the weather is very hot and not the best time to use a bike for a day out cyclying unless you are a very keen hot weather person to brave those very hot sunny days, instead of the pool or the sandy beaches of the area of the Algarve.
