Sölden, the main town of the Ötztal Arena, has developed into an internationally known sports and training centre. Both professionals and leisure sportsmen are in their element here.

The upper Ötztal valley starts at approx. 1 km before you reach Söldenand includes the village of Söldenand its hamlets of Hochsölden, Sölden, Zwieselstein and Vent. The municipal district of Söldenis mostly covered with glaciers (146 km²), alpine peaks (321 km²), pasturelands, mountains and forests - only 1% of its surface is influenced and built by man.

Sölden's high-altitude ski area boasts 34 state-of-the-art ski lifts and gondolas serving 146km of immaculate ski runs. That's not the only reason why this area ranks among the most renowned Austrian ski resorts. Söldenhas a lot more to offer: two glacier ski areas and three mountains higher than 3,000 meters accessible on skis. That's really unique! But it's still not everything: another highlight are the ultimate "Big 3" peaks - Gaislachkogl (3,058m), Tiefenbachkogl (3,309m) and Schwarze Schneid (3,370m) - with their panoramic viewing platforms.

Over the years, Söldenhas become famous for its great après-ski scene. At 4pm at the latest the entire village turns into a party location. Especially young people and all those in search of fun and entertainment meet in one of the numerous open air après ski bars along Sölden's main road. And when the day comes to an end, everyone is heading for the ultimate pubs and discos spread across the village. Nightlife at its finest!
