Plouguerneau
Getting there
On the north coast of Finistere, the historical town of Plouguerneau offers traditional markets, restaurants and shops as well as 40 kilometres of coast, a rich heritage of churches as well as interesting museums. Ideally located just 35 km north of Brest.
Environment : The villa is located 300m from the beach, in a wooded residential but peaceful area.
PLACES TO VISIT:
Brest. 35 km. Large seaport and naval base in a wide natural harbour, facing the Crozon peninsula. Renowned for its Oceanopolis aquarium. 3 golf courses.
Le Conquet. 50 km. Wonderful working fishing village, still unspoilt, with a long beach of clean white sand, protected from the winds by the narrow spit of the Kermorvan peninsula. Boat crossings to the islands of Molène and Ouessant.
Roscoff. 50 km. Attractive port with 16th-century granite houses clustered around a small bay. It benefits from a lovely atmosphere and boasts many welcoming restaurants.
Morlaix. 60 km. One of the great old Breton ports built on the slopes of a steep valley, with charming medieval centre with cobbled streets and half-timbered houses as well as a grand and unmissable 19th century viaduct built in the local pink granite.

Golf Brest Les Abers, Plouarzel. 35 km. Golf course. 18 holes Par 70 - 5200m. Undulating and challenging course with some beautiful views over Molène and Ouessant islands.

Crozon Peninsula. 75 km. Scenic rugged coastline with numerous fishermenÂ’s ports and sheltered sandy coves. Spectacular natural setting for walks, bike rides and watersports.
Locquirec. 80 km. Pretty little fishing harbour with sandy beaches on both sides, across the bay from Lannion and with breathtaking views across the bay.
Locronan. 90 km. Most picturesque and beautifully preserved village with granite houses with slate roofs, centred around the church in the cobbled square. Popular as a film-set it has been seen in several films. Many craftsmens/artisans working in the village.
Quimper. 95 km. Beautiful riverside city with narrow cobbled streets, a Gothic cathedral and a host of lively bars and restaurants. Famous for its Breton faience pottery and Armor Lux clothes factory which collections are inspired by the colours of the sea and Breton values.
