Getting there
Situated in Southern Brittany, in the area known as "Pays Bigouden", famous for its tall traditional Breton headdresses. Penmarc’h, a stunning site comprising 3 lighthouses including the Eckmühl lighthouse and the old lighthouse, just waiting to be explored and offering stunning panoramic views from the 60 metre high Eckmühl lighthouse, 307 steps up! The lighthouse is one of the most popular monuments in Finistère and one of the most powerful lighthouses in France.
4 km from PenmarcÂ’h, La Torche is a surfersÂ’ paradise. Windsurfing world championships have even been held here.

Bénodet. 25 km. Charming and popular seaside resort and yachting centre with long and sheltered sandy beach. At the mouth of the Odet river, it can also be reached by boat from Quimper. The resort boasts a golf course, talassotherapy centre, casino and a good selection of restaurants.
Quimper. 35 km. Beautiful riverside city with narrow cobbled streets, a Gothic cathedral and a host of lively bars and restaurants. Famous for its Breton faience pottery and Armor Lux clothes factory which collections are inspired by the colours of the sea and Breton values.

Pont Aven. 65 km. ArtistsÂ’ haunt situated inland from the tip of the Aven estuary. It is a small port popular with tourists and boasting many art galleries. Made famous by Gauguin when he came to paint in the 1880Â’s before leaving for Tahiti and inspired the Pont Aven school.
Crozon Peninsula. 80 km. Scenic rugged coastline with numerous fishermenÂ’s ports and sheltered sandy coves. Spectacular natural setting for walks, bike rides and watersports.
