Getting there
Between Gignac La Nerthe and Marignane, from 7 km to the beaches of the « Côte Bleue ».
15 km from the sea at Martigues, 23 km from culturally and historically rich Marseille and 27 km from Aix en Provence with its cobbled streets lined with pavement cafes and restaurants, and 50 km from the Camargue with its wildlife and bird reserve, wild horses and suprisingly unspoiled marshlands.
South west of Marseille between the Estaque and Carro, the Côte Bleue is known for its rocky coastline interupted with creeks and inlets host to pretty little beaches and sparkling blue shallows. The higher mountainous lands are covered by chalky hillsides and dry pine forests. Lesser known than the Côte d''Azur or the Calanques of Cassis, the Côte Bleue quieter beaches, and hidden hillside havens where walkers can head towards one of the inlets away from the eyes of the rest of the tourist world. Close to the city of Marseille, this area has always been a centre of industry and many a new and ancient village can be found just over the next hill.
Environment :
Countryside dotted with villas and residencial sectors. Between « Gignac La Nerthe » and Marignane.
