Traditional, Stone Style Cottage in Beaufort Traditional, stone style cottage, providing luxury self - catering accommodation and sleeping five people. The layout includes a fully equipped fitted kitchen with solid oak table placed beside one of the two rustic, red brick, feature walls. There is a charming old style living room with a solid fuel stove, surrounded by a spectacular hand cut local stone fireplace, complimented by pine beams and a subtle lighting system creating a truly relaxing atmosphere.
A double bedroom on ground level is furnished with handmade pine furniture and chestnut wooden flooring. This room leads directly to shower and toilet facilities. A wrought iron spiral staircase fitted with solid oak steps, leads to a spacious landing area which is furnished with wardrobe and futon. Two doors lead from the landing,one accessing the mezzanie bedroom which sleeps three people (one double and one single bed ) The second door accesses a fully fitted bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, electric shower and toilet facilities. Velux windows in the upstairs landing area further enhance the natural lighting throughout the property and old rectory cast iron radiators and wrought ron masonary.
The garden has a wooden shed facilitating storage of equipment for outdoor pursuits. Mountain bikes, fishing rods, canoes, walking boots, etc, as well as ordinance survey maps are available from the owners free of charge. A shady front garden has seating and barbeque facilities. Located in quiet scenic rural area within easy reach of Kerry's world renowned sights. Within walking distance are Dunloe Castle and gardens, Beaufort Ogham stones. Tomies wood and O’Sullivan’s cascade horse riding and walking at the Gap of Dunloe, Fishing on the river Laune, golfing at Gap of Dunloe and Beaufort golf clubs. Within thirty minutes drive of Bridge View is Muckross House and gardens with traditional farms,
Killarney National Park and Torc waterfall, Ross castle with boat trips on the lakes of Killarney, trout and salmon fishing on Killarney lakes. A one hour drive from Bridge View brings you to Dingle, home to Fungi the friendly dolphin and the magical Dingle peninsula and mount Brandon, with boat trips to the Great Blasket Island. Also within one hour drive is Inch beach with its water sports facilities. Kate Kearney’s cottage at the Gap of Dunloe has evening music and dance, restaurant and bar facilities.
