Serranova: 5 Bedroom Villa
The villa was built approximately 40 years ago and is situated about 2km from the small village of Serra-Nova, in the suburb of Carovigno,> on the road from Brindisi to Ostuni. It is a five minute drive away from the Beach at Torre Guaceto. This stretch of un-spoilt [22,000 hectares] coastline is protected, being designated an area of outstanding beauty and marine reserve.
The villa has an elegant entrance with high gates and long drive, with lots of wonderful aspects to explore; from the formal garden, with high palms, to the small copse. The front of the property is very much a luxury villa, whilst the back is a working olive and fruit farm with over 130 olive trees, oranges of all kinds, lemons and 100 grape vines.
The surrounding area is farm land, hand-farmed due to local restrictions. Everything grown here is organic due to the strict controls in Torre Guaceto. The local farmers are very friendly and will exchange goods with you from their plots. During the months of March to May, the ditches and hedgerows are full of wonderfully scented wild flowers.
The Villa is a real Italian home, and you can eat from the land during certain periods. Locally purchased fresh pasta (or you can make your own) The whole experience is idyllic. It doesn't matter whether you go for a weekend or a couple of weeks you can't help wanting to go back.
There is large above ground pool that is warm during the summer due to the side being exposed to the sun. Its 13 meter x 6 meter and ideal for a full swim. the depth is 1.5 meters so there is no deep end to put you off. There is also a jacuzzi bath for 4 people ideal for sitting in on an evening with a glass of wine. Payment Policy: Rates are in British Pounds.
At the time of booking we require 50% deposit (a receipt will be issued at the time of booking) which is non-refundable.
Full payment of the booking is due 8 weeks before departure and once paid this is non refundable. A reminder will be sent 10 weeks before the final payment is due. Failure to pay the invoice 8 weeks before departure date may terminate the booking with a loss of deposit, so please contact us if you have a problem.
A security bond is required and is returnable one week after return provided there has not been an incident. All damages and breakages will be charged for. Rules: Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
