Gitel Salle 1024 : Small Idyllic Village Salle with Most Picturesque Views Gîtel Salle 1024 is situated in the heart of the Belgium Ardennes in the little village of Salle, the municipality of Bertogne. The Gîtel is a merger of a gite and a hotel: the space, privacy and freedom of a gite combined with the luxury and comfort of a hotel. The complex consists of: a central building created out of a 400 year old farmhouse. A meeting room in a separate building. An indoor swimming pool, garden and patio with a covered barbecue and eating area.

The farmhouse was completely rebuilt between 2005-2007. The renovation changed the old house into a luxurious 5 star accommodation for groups between 10 to 20 persons. Stables became bedrooms and the hayloft is now a huge living area. From the start, comfort and luxury were paramount in planning and executing the renovation.

The building consists of ten bedrooms with two beds each with en-suite bathrooms. We can accommodate extra (children) beds if required. Please let us know when booking. Heated indoor swimming pool with sauna. Spacious garden with terrace. Covered and heated terrace with gas barbecue. Semi-professional kitchen. Lots of service possible, amongst with catering.

The interior, incorporating top quality materials and great design, oozes luxury. The room is decorated with comfortable chairs and sofas where you can enjoy watching a movie, read a book or play an old fashioned board game. Via satellite you can reach most European TV channels. Using DVD player and large plasma screen you can transform room into your own home movie theater.

The granite floor is heated to provide for comfortable environment but you will also find large fireplace to sit around when days are cooler. And of course room is air conditioned for your comfort during our increasingly hot summers. The left side of Great Room is designed as dining area which is linked to an open access kitchen.

The table is made up of 3 parts making adjustments possible depending on the size of the group. Use table complete for a large gathering or section table for smaller groups. The kitchen is equipped with every appliance you need to create your own meals. You have the use of large stove with 5 gas burners, a ceramic heating area and 4 ovens. Also available is microwave oven and built-in deep fryer.

For a good night’s sleep during your stay with us, we provide you with comfortable bedrooms 10 in total with 2 beds to each room. The rooms have marble floors and beds are dressed in quality linens and have extra long box-spring mattresses. Each room has an en-suite shower and sink. Bed and bath linens, bath robes, slippers, soap and shampoo are provided for in rooms and are of course included for your use free of charge.

You will find yourself in the middle of a great nature park, Les Deux Ourthes. You can walk directly from Gîtel through endless forests and hilly landscape with its numerous small villages. The old commerce town of Bastogne is less than 10 km from the Gîtel. Its elevation is 420 m above sea level and is situated in most picturesque part of Ourthe-Valley, consisting of forests, farmers’ fields, valleys, springs and brooks.
